Shaolin Cosmos Chi Kung course

Personally conducted in English by Sifu Bernie Kissey

2nd - 4th December 2022

Master Bernie Kissey will conduct a Shaolin  Chi Kung Course in Chiang Rai  , Thailand  from 2nd  to 3rd December 2022 . It is an amazing course ranging from a beginners' level to a masters' level, and course participants do not even need any prior chi kung experience.

In this exclusive workshop, the Master will impart a selection of techniques and skills from The Ancient Art of Chi Kung to help you discover the wonderful benefits of practising chi kung.

What is Chi Kung / Qigong ?

Qi means "vital-life-force" or "life-force energy." Gong means "work" or "effort" and is the commitment an individual puts into any practice or skill that requires time, patience, and repetition to acquire results.  It is a profound and ancient energy art that, when practiced regularly, restores the body's innate self-healing ability, boosts energy levels, creates health and vitality, longevity, stress management, greater mental clarity & freshness. It has the effect of creating better results in your life whatever you choose to do .

The many benefits of Chi Kung can be classified into four main areas:

1 Promotes physical and emotional health;
2 Develops fitness and vitality, which is used not only in martial arts and sports but also in our daily work and play;
3 Ensures longevity;
4 Enhances mental freshness.

What can be learned :

It is understandable for many people to enquire what can be learned in a few sessions of this course. The answer is that you will learn a lot, especially skills that you will not learn elsewhere.

At present most people, including so-called masters, practice gentle physical exercise using chi kung forms. Many of them are still sickly and weak. The onus of chi kung is not its forms, which you can learn from good books or videos, but chi kung skills.

Chi kung skills to be taught at the course include the following :

  1. Entering into a chi kung state of mind
  2. Generating energy flow
  3. Attaining mental clarity
  4. Developing internal force
  5. Expanding into the Cosmos

1. To have a basic understanding of the meaning and scope of The Art of Chi Kung.

2.  To acquire within a comparatively short time the best available Chi Kung skills and techniques which a student can competently practise on his/her own after the course, for health, vitality, mental freshness and inner peace.

1. To have a basic understanding of Chi Kung.
2. To learn and be able to practise competently some useful Chi Kung exercises for health, vitality and longevity.
3. To acquire the skills of attaining a one-pointed mind and of tapping cosmic energy.
4. To have an experience of energy flow.

1. Deep relaxation.
2. Unity of form, energy and mind.
3. Dynamic Chi Kung patterns.
4. Self-manifested chi movement.
5. Standing meditation.

EXPECTED RESULTS (during the course itself) :

1. Feel energised, relaxed, refreshed, calm, peaceful and focused.
2. Experience some chi effects, like warmth on the palms or over the body, tingling sensations at the fingers or other parts of the body.
3. If a student has some internal injury, which he (or she) may not be aware, he may feel some slight discomfort at the site of the injury. This is a sign that his Chi Kung practise is clearing through the internal energy blockage.
4. Feel confident that if he (or she) continues his consistent and correct practice at home, Chi Kung will overcome his degenerative or chronic illness if he has any, and to promote good health and vitality if he is not troubled by any illness.
5. Experience an increase of energy level.
6. Usually be amazed at what learning directly with a Master can bring to him (or her).

Many students are amazed that quite a lot can be achieved within a comparative short time.  This is possible because:

1. Objectives are clearly defined.

2. The best available techniques are applied to achieve the objectives.

3. Sifu Bernie has much experience in successfully transmitting the teaching.

4. The student's progress is enhanced by opening his/her vital points and transmitting energy to him/her if necessary. A student would normally take a few months of consistent practice to achieve the same effect on his/her own.
